Biography
Alex leads Strategy and Innovation at NAR, researching and advising on the "Future of Real Estate." Formerly the CEO of Forbes Global Properties, Alex has almost three decades of experience in the PropTech and Fintech industry with firsthand learnings from three exits, four acquisitions, and countless integrations. Previous executive roles include CEO of UpstreamRE, President at Home Captain (acquired by Volly), Operating Partner for Second Century Ventures, CTO of Market Leader (acquired by Trulia), and founder of Roost (acquired by Vertical Response).
Alex contributes as a board member and advisor for organizations including the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO), and the Customer Experience Program at Bellevue College and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Pacific Northwest Ballet.
A graduate of Harvard's General Management Program, Alex got his start in technology as an 82nd Airborne paratrooper in the U.S. Army. He is a thought leader and author speaking publicly at hundreds of events with audiences from 20 to 5,000, earning the following recognitions:
