Heather is an expert in proptech – having built and scaled teams and companies in everything from property management and brokerage, to mortgage. She deeply understands the problems to be solved, the obstacles to overcome, and is known for being candid about the ways the industry impedes its own progress at the expense of the consumer. She is a third generation real estate broker (Harmon Real Estate), had her first job in proptech over 30 years ago (LandLord Protection Service), and recently co-founded a venture backed proptech/fintech company (RedDoor) and sold it to Opendoor, where she was named the head of Opendoor Mortgage. Over the last year she has consulted and advised over 100 startups and serves as a partner to two VC’s. She also invests in small businesses and is building her own real estate and angel investment portfolio.
