Bill Fowler began his career in real estate as CMO at Solid Earth, a position he held for 12 years. Solid Earth was among the earliest pioneers of web-based MLS software, bringing AVMs and large-scale GIS data online. In 2015, he joined Zillow to found the Industry Relations team, then in 2018 he was recruited to establish the IR team at Compass, where he spent four years growing the brokerage’s influence within NAR, the top 50 MLSs, and related organizations in the US and Canada. 
In early 2024 Bill became founder and President of SourceRE, a subsidiary of Modern.tech, to build and maintain independent databases and data management services to MLSs. 
As past board member at RESO, business partner at CMLS, mentor in the REACH, REACH UK, REACH Canada, and Moderne Ventures, Bill is a regular conference panelist and is deeply involved with both the foundational data providers, policy-makers, and the powerful community of executives that run real estate in North America and beyond.
